Weekend Trips | Intermediate Program
Our trips offer you an amazing opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of Boston and the New England area. Each weekend, you will choose from 15-20 different cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities, including sight-seeing, theater trips, outdoor adventures, and on-campus staff-led clinics.

Boston Museum of Science, Six Flags New England, Quincy Market, Whale Watch, Blue Man Group, Boston Harbor Cruise, M.I.T. Museum, New England Aquarium, Boston Duck Tours, Kayaking on the Charles River, Museum of Fine Arts, New England Revolution Soccer, Hiking Mt. Monadnock, Crane Beach, Cake Decorating Clinic, Trapeze School, Indoor Skydiving
Traveling in the comfort of a chartered coach, you’ll leave Wellesley College and end up in the heart of the Big Apple. There, you’ll experience the sights and sounds of Times Square on your way to a Broadway show. (First session students will choose Wicked or Phantom of the Opera and second session students will choose Phantom of the Opera or Mamma Mia.) In addition, you and your friends will tour NBC Studios, dine at a popular New York restaurant, and enjoy a twilight harbor cruise that will take you past Lady Liberty and around Manhattan Island. After a night in a hotel outside the city, you’ll head to Connecticut for a tour of the Senior Program at Yale University. Lunch will be a picnic with pizza from the famous Pepe’s in New Haven, and then it’s back to Wellesley.
Trip Cost: $285
Note About New York City Trip: This special optional trip leaves on Saturday and returns Sunday; the trip takes the place of regular Saturday and Sunday trips. Students must sign up in advance and will be charged an additional $285 to cover the cost of the special overnight. All lodging, transportation, meals, tickets, and organized events, other than spending money, are included in the price of the trip. Parental permission is required for students who wish to withdraw from the New York City trip for any reason during the summer. Refunds will be granted only if the student is replaced and/or additional funds are not incurred.
